R&D in HarshLab
HarshLab is an infrastructure open to private projects, to initiatives funded through public granted programmes, and to collaborative public private partnership initiatives.
Testing in HarsLab enable to understand how real offshore conditions may hinder lifetime expectancy of components and equipment designed for offshore industry.
Some of these conditions can be simulated in the laboratory with different climatic chambers and regular corrosion tests, but others, such initiation of corrosion phenomena caused by fouling, are hardly reproducible in laboratory conditions.
